Christopher Gabro - CNU Candidates

Though it was not an art form that we talked about in class, teaching is an art.  Given the three presentations we’ve sat on for the potential candidates to become the new Catholic studies professor at CNU, we’ve witnessed to different styles and approaches of how to convey information to audience.  These styles were embedded in their appearance, body language, diction, projection, and word choice when discussing their individual topics.  These various aspects of style are what help the class build a connection to the candidate and then in effect related to how the class judged them.  The way in which one holds themselves and connects to the class is dependent on the aspect and from each speaker it was evident by these aspects how well the connecting was established from the instructor to the learner.  From this connection the way in which their presentation was understood and resonated with us differed on well they established the initial connection.
