John Vernon-Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder

I believe it to be true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For instance, from the first day of our discussion, we viewed the clip from the movie, American Beauty, which showed a paper bag floating and continually changing direction, because of the wind. The paper bag is involved in this magical dance with the wind, in which the music playing in the background dictated the movement of the bag. As Jane Harrison mentions, art imitates emotion (210), and the combination of the wind and music, allowed me to feel that the bag was involved in an elegant and majestic experience. In a sense, was the bag involved in a ritual dance with the wind?
